Legendary progressive rock band, Yes, today announced its upcoming North American tour, kicking off March 2013 in West Wendover, NV and wrapping up May 2013 in Detroit, MI. On this tour, fans can look forward to a totally new and unique Yes experience; the band, for the first time in its storied history, will perform three of its most popular albums in their entireties, The Yes Album, Close to the Edge, and Going for the One. Due to performance time limits in several venues, Yes will perform two albums, The Yes Album and Close to the Edge, in their entireties.

Performing three of rock’s most renowned albums will see Yes members, Chris Squire, Steve Howe, Alan White, Geoff Downes, and Jon Davison, playing Yes staples that have dramatically influenced rock music over the last four decades. Fans will enjoy long time favorites, including “Yours is No Disgrace,” “I’ve Seen All Good People,” “Starship Trooper,” “Close to the Edge,” “And You And I,” “Going for the One,” “Wondrous Stories,” “Awaken,” and more, in a completely unique format. Moreover, Yes will perform all tracks in the order they appear on their corresponding studio albums.

Multi platinum icons KISS release “The Casablanca Singles 1974-1982” Box Set in December 2012. This magnificent limited edition box set includes all 29 singles released on the legendary Casablanca label.

LOS ANGELES, October 31, 2012: Rock legends KISS were the first signing to the late Neil Bogart’s newly formed Casablanca Records label after he saw and recognized their talent and showmanship during their spectacular performance at a showcase concert at New York City’s Le Tang’s Ballet Studio in 1973, offering them a contract on the spot. Now,  KISS celebrates their 40^th anniversary in 2013 having broken box-office records set by The Beatles and Elvis,  more than 28 U.S. gold albums—the most gold records for any American rock band—40 million sales in the U.S. and a total exceeding 100 million worldwide. 

In their early years, KISS released a total of 29 singles on seven-inch 45-RPM records for the Casablanca label. These were available for sale to the public, used for commercial radio airplay and to promote album sales. Many of these singles had entirely different mixes, edits and material that didn’t appear on their vinyl albums.  Now for the first time, these musical snapshots of KISS’ formative years, which have never been available in a commemorative singles edition, will be released in two limited edition box-set configurations entitled The Casablanca Singles 1974-1982, on Dec. 3 from Mercury/Casablanca/USM:

In typical KISS fashion, these are no ordinary boxes. The sets are housed in a beautiful die-cut shadow box with a limited edition, etched silver metal plate and ribbon-pull magnetic closure, custom KISS 45s box with 26 collectible picture sleeves from original single releases around the world, including Japan, Germany, Holland, Spain and Britain. The vinyl collection also features singles from all four solo albums in purple, blue, red and green vinyl with a picture sleeve representing each individual member as originally released in the U.K. Both sets also include a booklet which tracks the genesis and chart history of each single represented in the package and four individual KISS masks..

“Even I haven’t heard some of this stuff, but this is all part of our master plan to celebrate KISS at this milestone in our careers,” says Gene Simmons. “This box set represents us at the very beginning of our career, and documents the band’s early success and subsequent growth.”

Kiss will release “The Casablanca Singles 1974-1982” box set through Universal on 3^rd December 2012

earMUSIC, the Hamburg based international rock label part of Edel Group, is proud to announce “Three Fates”, the most important record from Keith Emerson since his Emerson, Lake & Palmer days. “Three Fates” is the unique meeting of a British progressive rock legend, a guitar hero from Los Angeles and a Norwegian classical music conductor in the studio with the prestigious Münchner Rundfunkorchester (Munich Radio Orchestra). It features the best of ELP (“Tarkus” and “Fanfare For The Common Man Pt. 1&2”), solo songs and brand new compositions – all in new orchestral ar rangements. “Three Fates” will be released on 26^h November 2012.

“Three Fates” is the symphonic truth about the composer Keith Emerson, and a realization of the potential in his music.  Finally, he is realizing the project of his dreams in a close collaboration with the Norwegian conductor Terje Mikkelsen and American guitarist Marc Bonilla. Great works can be heard with a four-piece band and a full symphony orchestra for the very first time.  Guitar phenomenon Marc Bonilla leads the brilliant band and maestro Terje Mikkelsen really fires up the Münchner Rundfunkorchester in these luscious orchestrations. What an impressive collaboration!

“Tarkus – Concertante” is no doubt the main work on this release, a 20 minutes epic. “The Endless Enigma Suite” in symphonic colours is of course also included, plus a new moving piece called “After All Of This”. Marc Bonilla also contributes three attractive pieces on this recording, in addition to two works with the unmistakable Emerson twist from his biggest source of inspiration: Aaron Copland and Alberto Ginastera.

“Three Fates” is about much more than simply music. It’s about making Emerson’s music resound in a symphonic scale. Conductor Terje Mikkelsen has the rock-and-roll approach needed, as well as total control over the symphony orchestra in break-neck ensemble with the Keith Emerson Band. In many ways, “Three Fates” completes the circle: Emerson brought classics into rock – now it’s Emerson’s own music being performed by a classical orchestra.

Keith Emerson says: “Although I have been involved with orchestras and also jazz, blues and rock since the sixties, without doubt I consider this to be the most important album since the ELP days.”

Saxon Release HEAVY METAL THUNDER – THE MOVIE on

10TH DECEMBER AND ANNOUNCE UK TOUR FOR APRIL 2013

The silver eagle has finally landed for audiences worldwide!

After enjoying a limited “Fan Club Only” UK release, Heavy Metal Thunder – The Movie, Saxon’s wonderfully unfiltered and intimate account of their ascent to the upper echelons of heavy metal, will finally enjoy an international release this December. The double-disc set features the soon-to-be-celebrated story of Saxon, while the second disc is packed with bonus features including a full-length performance (on St. George’s Day) from April 23rd, 2008. Rivetingly honest, and including the frank memories of every musician who has played in the band, Heavy Metal Thunder – The Movie pieces together the earliest incarnations of Saxon, from frontman Biff Byford’s teenage years in the coalmines of Yorkshire and Son Of A Bitch (the first incarnation of Saxon) all the way through to top 10 hits and world tours. “Our music was more sort of machinery banging together, wheels turning, machines making noise,” says Biff of those early, industrial days, “It’s what Heavy Metal is all about. Heavy Metal is all about hard, big sounds bashing your skull in. I used to work in factories where big machinery made lot of noise and I used to sing along to the noises they made.”

It is a documentary which looks for all the world as though it’s a superbly crafted script, as much a tale of pure, honest, working class triumph as just another rock’n’roll story. Heavy Metal Thunder – The Movie shows every facet of Saxon on their journey without once diluting the true characters who make up the band. “We basically played every dump and shithole that there is in England over a period, probably just short of eight years,” laughs Biff. “You know classic cliché of transit van, up and down and we used to play more or less every night. One gig might be a good paying gig and the other one might be no money or ten quid but it was an obsession, you had to play every day.” These wonderfully naïve young men sought nothing more than a great gig, a good time and maybe a nice girl, before suddenly finding themselves on tour in the US, exposed to the sorts of things which (quite frankly) Barnsley simply didn’t offer in 1980. And from that point, Heavy Metal Thunder – The Movie, takes the viewer on a journey – on a rock’n’roller of a journey encompassing it all from triumphs to tears to tea-bags and beyond.

Nothing is forsaken and nothing skipped. Despite the fact that to this day there remain problems between the Byford/Quinn and Oliver/Dawson parties, everyone tells the full-unedited Saxon story with heartfelt honesty and integrity.

“We do have a great legacy,” says Byford, “whether you joined the band in 1994 or (as) an original member. There’s a legacy there and I’ve tried hard to not let people demean it and to spoil it and you have to look after that thing that is Saxon.”

Heavy Metal Thunder – The Movie will entertain, engage and charm fans and non-fans alike. That’s a truth as honest as the film itself…

inakustik is pleased to announce the December 3rd release of Michael Schenker’s “Temple of Rock: Live in Europe” that will be released on CD, DVD, Blu-ray and as a Limited Deluxe Edition containing all 3 formats. This essential live rock’n’roll release includes songs performed live in Tilburg, The Netherlands in May 2012, and at London’s High Voltage Festival in 2011.

Schenker sees his music as a building block in the construction of the Temple Of Rock. “The Temple is almost finished,” explains Michael. “The foundation was laid in the 60s by Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. The walls were then built by UFO and others in the 70s. By the 80s it was further reinforced by the likes of the Scorpions, and many more influential rock bands.”

The Tilburg gig,  recorded May 2012, features Schenker (lead guitar), Doogie White (vocals), Herman Rarebell (drums), Francis Buchholz (bass) and Wayne Findley (rhythm guitar, keyboards). London’s 2011 High Voltage Festival features Michael Voss (vocals), Rudolf Schenker (The Scorpions) who plays rhythm guitar on “Rock You Like a Hurricane”, “Hanging On” and “Doctor Doctor”, UFO’s Pete Way who plays bass guitar on “Doctor Doctor”, and vocalists Jeff Scott Soto (ex-Journey) and Doogie White, who both sing on “Doctor Doctor”.
